![]() Internal USB Hub (Gen 3) Internal USB 2.0 Expansion Hub. RGB Lighting & Digitally-Controlled Fan Channels. Customize settings with the software-empowered RGB & Fan Controller. Q: Can I combine the AER RGB 2 fans with 3rd party fans?Ī: This is not possible, as we use proprietary hardware/software that would not be compatible with 3rd party hardware. Brighten any build with NZXT RGB accessories. It's not a major difference but you could see slightly higher temps liquid/CPU. The Kraken M series is the budget orientated option to the more premium X series of liquid coolers from NZXT, but crucially retains the same RGB lighting effects on the CPU block. The only discernible differences in the descriptions was that the AER fans had 8 customizable LEDs per fan and the F140s had 18 LEDs per fan. Q: Can I use an AER RGB 2 fan to cool a radiator?Ī: Yes you can, be aware though, static pressure fans will always have better performance than airflow fans. We review the MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ventus 3X, an affordable alternative in the RTX 4070 lineup that delivers top-notch performance. Complementing the AER RGB 2 kit in our NZXT build is the Kraken M22 liquid cooler, and our choice of case was the H400i. I was doing a little bit of research on the NZXT AER RGB 2 fans to see if they would fit in the front of my Phanteks P500A (which they will) and I stumbled upon the NZXT F140RGB fans. Q: What changed with the AER RGB 2 fans from the AER RGB Gen 1?Ī: The motor and fan design is the same as the previous-gen, what changed was the microcontroller within the fan, which allowed for new RGB modes to be used with the fan. Q: Do I need an NZXT controller in order to use my RGB fans?Ī: For RGB power, yes, but for fan power, you can use anything that supports a standard 4 pin PWM fan. Keep in mind that you cannot mix Gen 1 and Gen 2 RGB devices and that there is a 40 LED limit per channel. Integrating seamlessly with the NZXT RGB accessories, Aer RGB 2 fans deliver optimal airflow and advanced lighting customizations. Q: Can I have other NZXT RGB devices connected to the AER RGB 2 fans?Ī: Yes you can, with most of our products we do include adapter cables that let you mix different RGB devices on the same channel. It’s now the fourth AER fan in the chain. Now the back fan is tinged yellow, much worse in person than in the photo. I appreciate your feedback on my questions.Q: Can I have multiple AER RGB 2 fans in a system?Ī: Yes! Keep in mind that the limitation of how many fans you can have in a system does come down to the controller it is connected to. I recently installed a new rgb fan (top fan) and daisy chained the back fan from that (back fan was previously daisy chained from the front fans). I'm not too great at conveying what I'm trying to say through typing alone. Edit to add: I have the same case, and the software works great for me. ![]() One guy does it all though, so be patient. It also controls a handful of other devices, and is currently in active development. I apologize if this doesn't come through correctly to some of you. There's an open source alternative to the Hue app. I'll be glad to go through extra effort though if I have to. If it's not possible to do this, alternatives are fine by me. So for my first question, which fans (including those on the Z73) do I need to connect to the Smart Device V2 to control through the CAM software? Second, if I need to connect more fans than the Smart Device supports, then is there a way that I can do it? If so, how? The main thing I'd like to do is be able to control the RGB of the 4 Aer RGB 2 fans and the speed of all of the fans through the CAM software. Is there an alternative software that I can use to control the lighting Ive got an X61 as well as strip lighting in my case Id like to control, and with CAM I currently have no control since it wont even run. I'm wanting to replace the fans that come in the case with the 4 Aer RGB 2 fans (3 along the top 1 in the back). As the title says, Ive had enough with CAM. I'm planning to put the Kraken Z73 at the front of the case and leave the fans that come with it. My current build looks like this: (I recommend you look through it for context on what I type next). I'm going to be building my first ever PC soon and I am in need of some assistance for my fan configuration.
